Aloe is a drought-loving succulent, so avoid overwatering. If it's leaves get squishy and turn yellow, it may be a sign you're overwatering it. Faded leaves may be a sign that it's not getting enough sunlight.

Origin

Aloe Vera comes from the latin word for "true" and this "truly" is a wonderful and easy to grow plant with lots of uses boasting at least 500 different species of Aloe! Native to the Mediterranean region, this succulent has been used as a medicinal plant for more than 2,000 years. Its sap has healing properties and is found in many commercial cosmetics and can be used for burns or for treating skin ailments. Although Aloe Vera juice is available, it is not recommended to ingest the sap of Aloe Vera, as it can have a strong laxative effect! Aloe Vera grow in tropical, sub tropical and even in arid climates so this plant is can tolerate a wide range of conditions, and has been known to reach over 1m tall in the wild.
