care advice
The most recognizable houseplant, and for good reason, Monstera have unforgettable heart shaped leaves with distinctive splits and holes. Initially the leaves are small and solid, then as the plant matures, the fenestrations will also become larger and more pronounced over time. Monsteras are very easy to care for, as they are happy in a range of light and are fairly drought-tolerant.

Grows best in medium to bright indirect light - Avoid long periods of intense direct sun - Tolerant of lower light levels

Water when the top 2 inches of soil is completely dry - Water before fully drying out

Air Purifying - Absorbs pollutants

Not Pet Friendly - Avoid ingesting

Sits 9" - 12" tall In a 6" grow pot
Pro Tips
Water thoroughly, then allow time in between to dry almost completely. Don't worry if you miss a watering. Monsteras can tolerate periods of drought and can bounce back. Prune back to keep full and bushy, or stake and train to climb vertically. Cut a stem below an aerial root node to propagate a new plant.
Origin
Native to Central America.
