A mainstay for any houseplant enthusiast, the Pilea, or Chinese Money Plant, is a popular choice with good reason! Easy to care for and easy to propagate, cuttings can be given as gifts and grow quickly. This mountain forest plant loves dappled sun, ensuring a spot in even a crowded collection.

Pro Tips
Pilea peperomioides is prone to overwatering, so be sure to let the soil almost fully dry out! A sign to look for when thirsty is droopy and curling leaves. When plant is fully hydrated it will have flat leaves that hold a good amount of bounce.
Origin
Also called the Chinese Money Plant, the Pilea peperomioides is a species in the family Urticaceae and is native to Yunnan and Sichuan provinces in southern China.
