The String of Hearts is a drought-tolerant succulent that is incredibly easy to care for. It a trailing plant ideal for hanging baskets or shelves with delicate, long vines. Its variegated foliage features a distinctive heart shape, earning this adorable plant its name.

Pro Tips

Take care when handling or repotting to avoid damaging its shallow roots. If its leaves are becoming wrinkly, it's a sign that it is too dry and is ready for a watering. Signs of overwatering are shriveled and mushy leaves. To create a full looking plant don't hesitate to prune.

Origin

Originating in South Africa, this is traditionally a ground cover vine that grows between rocks and has been cultivated as an indoor hanging plant. Discovered by John Medley Wood, the String of Hearts' botanical name (Ceropegia Woodii) bears his name.
